does anyone out there who suffers or knows someone suffering with portal hypertension, enlarged spleen and gilberts syndrome have a terrible stiffening and swelling of the joints, particularly fingers with pins and needles/loss of sensation in fingertips. my brother has this condition and we are both pulling our hair out trying to get some proper medical advice/information about the symptoms such as these and what could be causing the pain which manifests in the legs also. we are told its just a 'symptom of the condition' which is majorly frustrating as it does not help one bit. if we knew what was causing the pain ie. what was building up in the joints as a part of the condition maybe we could take steps to help it with natural remedies but we just dont know where to start. i am studying nutrition and holistic medicine but only in my early days. i have recommended colloidal silver and a supplement called H Factors (TMG/B vitamins), milk thistle, antioxidants as well as a good wholefoods diet, plenty of filtered water and various herb teas. any help/advice or just someone to talk to about it would be a godsend. i can also be contacted directly at toniaalee@gmail.com. we both realise knowledge is everything and i am doing my hardest to find out everything i can about the condition so that i can help my brother manage his life with natural remedies - there are wonderful treatments out there by way of oils, herbal teas and tinctures. we would love to share our knowledge in hope it helps someone elses suffering and strengthen our own. best wishes, love and light, tonia.
