hi all im 27 and my doctor told me i had a prolapse about 7 years ago and then i went to visit him about it this year cos i wanted something done about it and he said that i didnt have a prolapse, so i sought a second opinion this time the doc said i had a low cervix, perhaps about 2 inches from the opening of my vagina ( sorry if tmi ) so she said to do some exercises like stop urinating mid flow which i have done and it hasnt worked so i want something else done, basically my question is what else can i do to help myself ive never been pregnant but looking things up ive heard that an acute cough can cause a prolapse (i used to have bad coughs when i was young).

any help will b appreciated thanks.

  • If currently or future fertility is a concern I would make an appointment to see a Reproductive Endocrinologist. They can run all types of tests to check everything inside and out.

  • The only way to fix this problem is to have a partial hystorectomy which would be removing your cervix.and you will be fine to have children post op just it might cause you to have premature labour so you would really have to take it easy have you had a pap smear? it may be cervical dysplaia sorry that i couldnt give you much help
