Intense, Persisting Pelvic/Back Pain

Hi, my name is Heather and I'm a 25 y/o woman.
Last month I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. This was detected through a colposcopy/biopsy. Since the biopsy I have had severe abdominal pain that radiates through my lower back. I have been back at the Dr. every week for the last month and a half. They cannot "feel" anything.

It has now gotten so bad that the pain makes me nauseuos. Sex hurts, I have a difficult time initiating urination and if I sit for more than 30 minutes at a time I am literally in tears. I am also bloated to the point where I look 5 months pregnant. I am 5'3 and 125 pounds- this is not normal for me! Vicodin takes the "edge" off for about 2-3 hours, but the pain is constantly there. My last Dr. appt. went horribly- I left the hospital with antibiotics for an infection that I don't have.

I am so frustrated! No one seems to be able to tell me what is going on! The pain is unbearable, and the stress is almost worse. I do have an ultra sound set up for next week, but I feel like something serious is wrong.

Has anyone had/have similar problems, or even ANY idea on what could be going on down there? Any info would be INCREDIBLY appreciated!

Thanks in advance-

  • I have been undergoing the same horrible pains. However, I don't believe I have cervical cancer. My diagnosis is still unknown, and they haven't done many tests to determine if it is something more than they believe it is. They've basically written me off as a case of chronic PID. This is my fourth time having it... and something more has to be wrong than they believe. I know it! Just getting out of bed after waking up hurts... My doctor did a UA, blood test, and put me on Flagyl and Cleocin. This is not STI or STD related... I'm just tired of waiting for answers. PM me if you want my email.

  • This sounds almost exactly like what I am going through at the moment though I hate to say that I also have no diagnosis- so I'm not much help. I can sympathise with your pain and I really hope that you find out what is wrong very soon, so that the anxiety and the pain can ease.
