i have 3 very large Fibroids 1 of 6cm in my cervex and 2 in my uterus which are 14cm and 10 cm's. they are very painful at times. i have heavy periods the last 1 last for 4 weeks. i am serverely anemic. I have been under going iron injections and also tablets to raise my blood. they are talking about a blood transfusion if the iron doesn't work. I have been told that they will have to do a hysterectomy once they have got my blood sorted. They have put me on blood clotting agents and medication to stop my periods. my blood count for iron had dropped down to 6. i have also been diagnosed as have degenrative scoliosis of my c5-c6 c6-c7 vertebrae in my neck, which cause pain in my right side, shoulder, arm and loss of sensation in my hand and fingers. i keep dropping things and am in a lot of pain. my dr has perscribed Tramadol 8 times a day so i appear to be shoot away.i have been signed off work indefinetly and told to apply for benefits.
I am really worried about my general health and scared stiff about having a hysterectomy. i have 1 daughter. i am only 42 and over the last months have felt really poorly. If anyone has any information on hysterectomy's what to expect etc i would be very grateful. thanks.
