Hi, i'm 17 and I've been on my period for almost two months now. I would stop bleeding for like a day then it'd come back. I'm bleeding lots of blood clots. I've told my mom about it but she thinks it's normal, but I don't know. She offered to take me to the doctor, but I'm so scared to go. I don't want them doing an exam on me where they have to poke things i don't want to be poked. I'm really scared somethings wrong pluse i'm getting blood everywhere. I have to wear pads instead of tampons because the bleeding is so heavy. Any advice? Please...?

  • My advice would be to go to an OB/GYN, even if you are scared. There may be something wrong and the only way to find out is to go to a doctor. They will probably need to do a pelvic exam, which only lasts about a minute or two. It may be a little uncomfortable but it shouldn't hurt. The doctor may put you on birth control pills to help your bleeding or have some other suggestions. Good luck! I hope everything is ok!
