Does anyone here have a bicornate uterus? If yes, do you also have clubbed thumbs? I have both and just recently found out that they can be related.

Thank you for any input.

  • They not related, it is a coincidence that you have it and so does the person who posted in 2008 and never came back.A bicornuate uterus results from the uterus not forming properly in a woman's early prenatal development. This can happen to women whose mothers took a medication called DES during pregnancy, or it can happen for unknown reasons.Stubbed or clubbed thumbs is a genetic condition linked to English heritage

  • Do you know a lot about clubbed thumbs? My son has it, and I wonder if it can be health problems connected with it? Does that mean he is of English heritage?Thank you for answering

  • I have a bicornate uterus and there is no relation to clubbed thumbs that I have ever heard of. Have you had any difficulty with the bicornate uterus that you know of? I could not get pregnant and after 10 years of infertility treatments, we ended up adopting. In December I got pregnant (I was shocked) but ended up having a miscarriage. That is the first time I had been told about the bicornate uterus. They did not say whether or not it had anything to do with the miscarriage or not, but that was my second miscarriage (the previous one was 18 years ago). Does anyone know of a connection between miscarriage/infertility and bicornate uterus?
