I've been reading all of your stories and I am happy that I'm not the only one going through this. I had one UTI when I lost my virginity and the doctor prescribed pyridum and bactrim the infection cleared up and hasn't came back until now. I have been with my husband for almost 2 years now and his penis is uncircumsized. He's the only man I ever been with an uncircumsized penis, I recently just started to get Uti's and it won't go away. I wipe front to back I pee before and after sex and drink plenty fluids. I taken my medicine faithfully for that week. I'm coming to a conclusion that it's sex that triggers it. What precautions should I take before having sex with him? I hate to talk about this with him because he gets uncomfortable and it's his least favoriate topic to dicuss. We don't use protection because we were TTC and I havent yet to become pregnant. I'm becoming worried and thinking this constant UTI that comes and goes is affecting my fertility. I have no health insurance and it is so hard to pay medical bills. I need someones opinion on what to do! thank you

  • A couple extra tricks I have heard in addition to peeing before and after sex:1) Both you and your partner shower before, which is hard to do.2) Make sure your husbands hands are clean if he touches you. They say its important for men to understand the ***t from the urethra. If he is rubbing the urethra, that can cause a uti.3) Eating yogurt daily? I've heard this trick a lot for yeast infections, but someone told it works for utis, too. I know 2 people who love yogurt, eat it everyday and never get yeast or urinary infections. Since it builds up the amount of good bacteria, it helps to better kill the bad bacteria. 4) what workable for me is not to take bubble baths and not to have sex doggy style. I don't know how much this helps, or if any of them actually work or not....just sharing the extra things I've heard.Hope you find some relief!
