for months ive had difficulty starting a floe of urine. i end up going into a zen state and only a small amount flows. afterwards i always drribble and wear pads full time. it has progresses to uretheral pain, nausea, abd swelling amd painful intercourse. over the years ive had these symptoms but not this severe. they would go away and i used mild pain mds and urised with pyridium. i also have non functioning oavaries. the gyn did bloodwork and i am awaiting results. he also got me an appointment quiker than icould on my own. i am very nervous and frustrated. please help.

  • You really need to have a urodynamics study done. If your gyno can't order one, you may need to be referred to a urologist. Interstitial cystitis can cause urinary retention, and sometimes the meds you are using can make it worse. ic-network.com is a good resource for more information. Good luck. I know how painful and frustrating that can be.
