Urinary Insomnia

I have the problem of having a very hard time of going to sleep at night. When ever I lie down at night I get the feeling that I need to urinate, but when I go to the bathroom, I urinate very little and then get back in bed only to have the feeling return instantly. I am almost certain that the problem is completely mental, because I also have severe shy bladder as well. If anyone has any idea what this is or how I can fix it, I would greatly appreciate your advice. Like I said, I dont get enough sleep at night because I have such a hard time getting it out of my head long enough to go to sleep.

  • I have EXACTLY the same problem. The intensity of the urge seems to fluctuate with the level of current stress im under. The doctor has little knowledge in this area other than it is probably an obsessive compulsive trait (i do count a lot too) due to anxiety. Anyone with more info plz reply - i goto stupid lengths to try and make sure i will onlky need to goto the toilet once before bed but ofcourse this just aggravtes the anxiety and urgew to go more. I feel weird and uncomfortable about it; I doubt there is much help out there tbh but i can only hope
