I've had so many UTIs I can't even count them. This one is different though, so it's worrying me.
I had sex on Sunday (it was also different because we used a condom and we never do... I get weird reactions to condoms) and started to get symptoms on Tuesday. It started with the normal back pain and urgency and burning, but now it's constant retention.
I've noticed that for a while now my bladder doesnt' seem to be emptying completely and I soon feel like I have to urinate again. This week though, it has gotten so bad that I have put feminine pads and pantyliners in my underwear because I can't keep going to the bathroom every five seconds.
I also started my period on Monday, so it was a slew of problems. I couldn't tell whether the blood I was seeing was because of my period or if it was blood in my urethra. Now, I think my period is over, and there is brown.. not red.
I don't have health insurance either, so I'm really worried as to how I'm going to be able to diagnose and treat this. I'm also only 22, and I feel like urine retention is something for older women. Anyone have any ideas??
