I am 28 years old and have been having trouble with uti and yeast sense I started having sex at age 20. I get utis about 3-4 times a year but the thing is I have trouble getting ride of the infection and then once the infection is gone I still have pain in the urethra for months afterwards.
The pain is constant and there is no more or less pain with urination. The pain localized to the urethra (which was determined by my gyn to eliminate vuladynia as a possibility). I have no fever, abdominal pain, or blood in the urine. So basically what my doctors are saying is there is nothing wrong with you but I am still in pain.
I have changed all my personal products it free and clear and sensitive skin products. I have only one sex partner, my husband, and have tested negative for STDs. both urinalysis and vaginal specimens have come back negative for any bacterial infections. I had a cystoscope done and everything came back normal. I even tried the IC diet my urologist recommended for several months last year and there was no change.
I am worried there is something very abnormal the doctors are not finding. Any ideas?
