My son had some blood work done because he keeps a snotty nose and sinus infection. His blood work came back that he doesn't show any immunity to having the DTAP shot, he is 3 and has 4 doses of this shot. On the Prevnar shots he only shows immunity to 3 out of 7 of the sub-categories. Any ideas what could be causing this?? Help!

  • I am sorry that I don't have any information regarding this, but was wondering if he is seeing a specialist, i.e., hematologist (specialist for blood disorders); not to say that he has a blood disorder, but just one more area that he could be checked since he does not seem to be immune, and/or endocrinologists also deal with immunity situations. You might want to ask your family MD about this.
