Hi,
for one month now, i am seeing a huge increase in peeing frequency. I need to run to the bathroom every hour - 2 hours at least. I can never have a full night sleep without waking up once or twice to run to the bathroom.

The interesting thing is that the amount of pee is large (I keep going and going!). I get no pain or blood or anything.

I went to the clinic, and the doctor had me have a urine test. He said I have no diabetes, urine infection or kidney malfunction signs.

I am a 28 yo male, very healthy and never had problems like this before. This is now driving my crazy. Any ideas what could be wrong with me?

Could it be prostate cancer? or prostate enlargement? Do people pee large amounts with those?

Thank you very much

  • Hi,I would have said could be diabetes but u have the ok for that. (which is good)Obvious questions: have u increased the amound you drink? How about eating fruits that have a lot of jucie in them etc? Have u increased your intake of anything that could act as a diatretic? Sorry if these are questions u have been over a million times.I have read that an enlarge prostate can put pressure on the bladder, might be worth getting that checked just in case. But considering your age I would have thought it is unlikely to be anything serious.Good luck.Katie

  • I am a 21 year old male and have had a similar problem that started when I was around 16. One morning I had to go urinate but this time it was a large amount and from that moment the feeling of not being empty hasn't gone away. At first I would also wake up a few times a night to go but I have had to force myself to get use to it but the feeling is still always there. I had gone to the doctor a few months after it started first thinking it would go away by itself. I have had urine test, blood tests, something like an ultrasound check (I guess that was also for my kidneys). I have tried different medicines that helped a bit in making it easier to go but never fixed it, these made the urine like an orange/redish color. They had told me that I was tooOne thing that I noticed is that when it first began it was just an urge to go but it wasn't difficult to finish even though the feeling of not being empty was there. But now same thing as before but its now more difficult to feel comfortable enough that I can hold it for about 2-3 hours.
