Last year I started feeling an itch in the uretra, mostly at the root of my penis AND at its head. The itch was inside. This itch has been recurrent ever since, sometimes going away for a month, and then returning. The doctor said it's nothing to worry about. the STD tests are all negative. I treated the itch with antifungal cream, which seems to have brought some relief. I even used it right inside the uretra, at the top of my penis. Nevertheless, the feeling keeps coming back. It's located mainly inside the uretra at the root and at the top of my penis. Any ideas what may bring that up? I have also been experiencing hemorrhoids. Whould they be causing the itch?

  • well, not to be an alarmist, but that was my first symptom of diverticulitis several months before my colon ruptured and I had to get a colostomy bag for 6 months, so get checked...............
