Hello. My tumor was removed on 2.18 2010. Cancerous but it did not invade the wall. I have spoken to the urologist on the 10th of march (the follow up} and we discussed the the pain i have from the urine backing up towards the kidney and why it is doing so but i can not recall if he said that it would repair itself or not. I also asked about my enlarged prostate. I was given a flowmax script following the surgery. He said it was to relax the prostate to help me urinate better. I then asked why wasnt i given something to reduce the prostate seeing that it was enlarged and was having flow problems before the tumor surgery. He said thats a good question but had no answer for it. i was given a script for finasteride. The 1 thing i did not ask was about the retrograde ejaculation. All my plumbing worked before the surgery. I am just wondering if all this is normal after this type of surgery? Will both valves for urine and seimen repair themselves or will i need them to be looked at the next visit in 2 months?
Thanks for any replies.
