:(
So here is what's up...

I'm 17
I have been tested for every STD in the book
I have been tested several times for UTIs but they have ALL come back negative
Negative for yeast infection as well (although I don't have those symptoms)
Pain in urethra, SOLELY at urethral opening that comes back every 3-4 days. For some reason it has been constant for the past 3 days however it has showed up occasionally for about a year or two.
Feels like I have to pee sort of, but when I go to try, I 'push' like I'm trying super hard to pee but nothing comes out... and it hurts!
on a scale from 1-10 pain is about an 8. I want to bite a stick and cry... Dr never calls about follow-ups.
When I am having this problem I don't want to do ANYTHING. I had to go to work today with it and I felt like I was going to cry..
Doctor said that I have an abnormally high white blood cell count in my pee

I have tried cranberry pills, UTI meds, birth control pills, drinking a TON of water, and eating health foods only... and nothing has even helped!! I am seriously looking for some relief here... I thought maybe a kidney stone.. I don't want to believe it's Interstitial Cystitis until there is nothing left to believe... Please help, someone /:

Please help, someone /:You are not alone and there is help available and you usually have to do alot of your own research I've learned over the past 20 years of varying types of bladder and urethral pain. I've experienced exactly what you're talking about plus a biting needle like sudden stabbing urethral pain too. Sometimes I have that pain once in a whole month but I actually experienced it every few seconds every day for a year and a half as well. I do have ongoing bladder pain every day so I've found some tricks and serious help. Otherwise, like you, I CANNOT function. AT ALL. I know exactly what you mean-even laying cown and curling up in a ball is too much agony but it's all you can do sometimes. Try alkalinzing your urine by combining black cherry juice or pineapple juice with filtered water. Drink it all day long every day. The acid in cranberry, apple, orange, and many other juices can really irritate your tissues if you don't have an infection so I learned one time, overnite, that cranberry and a ton of vitamin C(which alot of people think are THE answer) ARE NOT. Also, buy some slippery elm capsules, under $10 at most health food stores. They create a "mucilage", a nice healing jelly like coating for your mucosal membranes. The slippery elm and alkalinizing cut my pain in half overnite. Then there are homeopathic remedies too. A company named Boiron sells little blue tubes of tiny pellets to dissolve under the tongue.(between $6-$7) Apis works well for ongoing nagging bladder and urethral pain, Cantharis helps for biting, stinging urethral pain. Liddell makes liquids to spray under the tongue.(about $20) They have one specific to bladder infection and even though you have no infection ( I don't either but do have massive pain), that spray helps too. I find if my body is inflamed (upset gut, stress, etc,) then the urethral bladder pain is worse too. Oh yeah, Mint tea has a sort of gentle effect to soothe the bladder too. The homeopathic pellets and spray are at most health food stores and I don't mean GNC. You have to find a good health food store or buy online. Try not to consume sweet drinks. I found pop, sugar free "vitamin" waters and other juices will make me feel like I literally have a bladder infection within about 20 minutes. fastest and cheapest remedy is to buy some alkalinizing juices and drink straight or combine 50/50 or even only 1/4 with water and drink all day. Next fastest and cheapest is to get that slippery elm. Take as the bottle directs. It has NO harmful side effects and is not one of those herbs that will interfere with any meds or other herbs. It can actually be consumed as food so it's totally harmless. The relief it can provide is a good thing. Good luck to you-trust me, you are not the only person suffering from this and there is help!

  • I know you have tried loads already but just in case you haven't tried this yet I'm gonna write it: have you tried to get another doctor's opinion? How about a pelvic ultrasound? You really need to find out what it is.
