I recently had an MRI done of my lumbar region and it showed that I have a 6mm hyperintense area in my left kidney. I have a history of stones and many problems with that kidney. Now usually in the past if a stone was present the test results would say there was a stone there. I am just concerned that there may be something else going on. Any help or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated since I have been very concerned about what this could be.

Thanks a bunch!!

O.......P.S. ......I do have an appt scheduled with my urologist next week. But in the mean time would love some input!!
