  • hi, sorry to read about your problem, especially since your only in your thirties.I experience the problem of hesitation when I hold my bladder too long.example, a cup and a half of coffe needs to be relieved at the first feeling of needing to go or the longer I ignore it the harder it is to urinate. at a casino recently I pushed down two beers in about 30 to 40 minutes. I don't usually drink much, so that was alot for me. but the dice table was hot so I postponed going until I felt much discomfort. long story short, I nearly ran to the bathroom three times in the next thirty minutes and every time I had to concentrate and push like heck, only to watch a pathetic stream that at it's best would shoot only about six inches at a time. stopping and going, never fully emptying myself. normally my stream isn't very robust either. it's the holding on too long that scares me. if you are having the stop and go problem, I hope by now your doctor sent you to a specialist for prostate evaluation. by the way I'm 56 years old.

  • Sounds like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) for both of you gentlemen. However, 34 years old is young. But worth checking it out. My husband suffers from this and must take Flomax.
