I'm concerned. Yesterday it suddenly started and every now and then I would feel a sharp stinging in the penis. It feels like it's coming from inside. I didn't do anything which could cause this. And it is becoming more frequent. What could this be?
Could this be an infection? Can you get an infection if you get water in the urethra? Is this even possible?
Or could it also come from the lower back?
It's definitely not STD because I'm single. I don't know what to do now. I'm not keen on going to an urologist. Should I wait a few days and see what happens?

  • Cal, You should get yourself to your local NHS walk in centre or doctors. If you can get an appointment to see your own GP today then do it. chances are that it will just be water infection, but it could also be many more things like kidney stones. I am also going through this at the minute, but if you go to the GP, they will give you some medication that will clear it up after a couple of days. The GP will need you to give them a urine sample, but you can do this once your there. Unfortunately my case is slightly different, they thought at first it was just a regular water infection or swelling into the penis, now they think it might be the prostate squeezing the urethra which is causing problems with passing waters. I am going to see the urologist this coming Saturday, I am nervous as I have read many things about it, but I know that it will at least solve the problem with knowing what the cause is.

  • Hi!I have been to the urologist. He took a swab from the urethra. This wasn't very comfortable. And also a urine sample. I shall call him on Wednesday for the results. I don't really know how I should have got an infection but if it's not an infection then I also don't know what else it could be. Stupid situation.
