I have had around 18 UTI's since March. Countless others before then. These infections started last summer just after I turned 17. I need anti-biotics everytime I have an infection otherwise it will not go and quickly gets worse, if I begin to get one on say a saturday I cannot wait till Monday to see the doc so have to go to a urgent care centre as the discomfort is too horrible. It keeps me up all night and the only thing that 'soothes' me are warm baths(without bubbles). I have had blood tests, ultrasound, CT scan, camera tried them all. Even antibioctic injections but nothing has provided help. The camera showed I have a narrow uretha and the ultrasound showed my kidneys have a 'pool of wee' sitting in the right hand side which may cause the infections. I do not think it started due to Sex as I began having the UTI's before ever having sex, maybe now they may be caused by it but I do not think this was the original source.I am on a long term course of low strength antibiotic however this hasnt prevented a UTI forming as I got one last weeked while on the low dose ones, so had to go to the docs and get a stronger tablet.

However I was wondering does anyone have any tips or preventions they take to stop the UTI's? I have tried cranberry tablets and probiotic yougurts, but they do not seem to make a difference.

Thanks in advance
