  • I have had the same thing happen to me and had to go back to the docter. He actually ended up giving me a shot of something not sure what it was. Mine was getting worse on the other medicine and he said sometimes certain medicines wont help. Maybe your the same way. I wish I could remeber the medicince but I can't sorry. I just wanted you to know that though.

  • I am sure you have alredy heard back by now if you still have one or not, but I have had a similiar problem and had to be switched from a sulfa drug to a drug called levaquin. it's been the best thing ever and I wouldn't try anything else.

  • every time i get i get a UTI one dose of antibiotics never wipes it out. I end up on antibitotics for usually 3 or 4 weeks before the infection is gone.

Give it try.

  • I have chronic UTI and similar symptoms. It lingers and actually hurts during sex sometimes. I've tried macrobid up to a month straight as my urologist suggested. it seems that after a few UTIs your urinary tract can scar up thus narrowing the tract and making it easier for bateria to get stuck. he suggested actually stretching the urinary tract but after doing my own research I learned it could actually causes more scarring not to mention it was painful. I have found that vitamin flushes/cleanse helps a bit flushes everything out of your system. Mediclear has been good or you can go to your naturalpath practitioner and see if they'll do a vitamin flush for you. it tends to be expensive, and the symptoms may come back. Also after sex you can add D-Mannose to your water. This is the sugar found in cranberry and will stick to any bateria and flush it out of your system. As for the pain after urination...Please let me know if you figure something out because I haven't.

  • I tried a site and it worked well for me, haven't had one in a year, and i used to have it all the freakin' time. It tells you the foods to avoid, and some at home treatments. Also d-manose worked for me too.
