Do I have yeast in my penis?

Age: 18

No oral sex
nothing, Im a good kid lol.

My penis doesnt hurt or burn when I pee. But after ejaculation, the hole in my penis, inside, the tip of the tube, is tender and kind of hurts and burns at the same time. After it goes away, if I squeeze the head of my penis I can feel it tender inside on the tip of the tube. It has been like this for months. I hear antibiotics cause this, and I take them, but it was hurting before that I believe...

How can it be yeast though? No discharge, no real redness, so I dont really match the symptoms. Any opinions? thanks

  • That can be quite normal. The foods you eat can cause your semen to be more acidic leading to a little more irritation than usual.Caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods and/or acidic foods may irritate the prostate, so avoid them. Drink more water. You should also try to pee after ejaculation to cleanse the urethra out, which will help prevent any infection.

  • Why are you taking antibiotics and for how long? You should be taking a probiotic to get your flora back in balance. Antibiotics strip away all the good and the bad bacteria, leaving you vulnerable to candida overgrowth. A probiotic with several strains of good bacteria will help keep this in check. You can get one at any good health food store, or order on www.vitacost.com. See if this helps your symptoms. Often in males candida will be symptomless or very mild. Visit www.candidasupport.org and check out their instructions for doing a saliva test - this you can do easily at home, and can show if you have a candida concern. Try not to squeeze too hard, as this can cause further irritation. If there is more pronounced burning, or if you are having any urinary discomfort, then please get this checked. Best wishesDOM

  • i had really bad digestive issues and a pro-biotic helped with that as well. if you aren't eating yogurt everyday, you can take a pro-biotic for aid in that area. i usually go to www.smarthealthshop.com and do a search there. good luck!
