My husband has started getting the first symptoms of UTI - pressure and burning. It's evening now and I think (I hope not) I will have to take him to urgent care in the night.

In the meantime, can I do anything to treat this at home? I am trying the following:
1. Unsweetened cranberry juice.
2. Cranberry extract.
3. Yogurt.
4. Lots of water.

Anything else I can do? Please help.

Please help. I get chronic bladder infections and eventually, even the pure cranberry stopped working for me. My Naturopath recommended Allimed, which is a very strong, but a very safe and natural, anti-biotic. I was on anti-biotics every month for bacterial infections. Now, when I feel a bacterial infection coming on, be it a UTI or Strep, I take just one capsule, which I keep handy in the fridge at all times. (You can also get it in liquid form, which is a better value.) It is rather expensive (around $100) but it lasts and is well worth it. Usually just one dose will take care of my infections. You can go to the Allimed website, or find them through Amazon and do next day shipping.Best of luck!Stacy
