am 31 female with many years of bladder retention. I never get the urge to unrinate. I have pain in the abnomen and swelling. After urination, I get this sharp pain in my lower pelvic area for a few minutes then it with subside.
In my pelvic exams there is extreme tenderness, also in sexual penetration, there is also tenderness. .
There is blood in urine, per doctors initial cultures.
I have a low grade fever. Doctor states may have a infection take antibotics --- have taken all antibotics and there is still the systoms.

  • possibly pelvic floor dysfunction and/or vulvodynia. Do some research on these things and see if the symptoms match yours. These things can be helped with meds and physical therapy. Finding a doctor who knows much if anything about these can be tough. If you think this may be what you have, print out some articles and take them with you to your gynocologist. And hope you have a doctor who is willing to help you.
