I have noticed that in many cancer forums there has been a thread of misdiagnosis for women with bladder cancer. Often this cancer has been mistreated as a urinary tract infection, even when the tests for infection come back negative. I was misdiagnosed for a year. Often gross hematuria is over looked in women, bladder cancer being considered a "man's disease" and an "older disease". Since all cancers are on the rise, it seems doctors are being careless about this. Tell me your stories about this. thanks, V.
