I was wondering if someone would be able to help me figure out some of the symptoms I have, especially since I cannot afford to have health insurance so I must choose my doctor visits carefully.

For bbout 4 days now, I have been feeling aome pain occuring on the left side of lower abs spreading to lower back after and during urination. It hurts when I push down on the area and the severity of pain has been getting worse over time, more each day.

Sometimes only a small amount of urine comes out when I go to the bathroom (no blood in urine) but severity of pain remains the same. The pain lasts about 15 minutes after urinating, a burning sensation, but then subsides. And I find myself needing to go to the bathroom often, sometimes every hour and I notice that I have a slight fever, I think it was 99.4 when I took my temperature.

I don't know what it could be since I consider myself a pretty healthy person besides this. My periods are regular and normal (although sometimes I do have PMS symptoms like back aches and nauseau). I'm on birth control and I cannot think of any abnormal activity I engaged in 4 days ago when these symptoms started appearing except for sex with my boyfriend.

I don't have any history of any type of cancer in my family.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your help.

  • I don't know where you live but if you don't have health insurance ..Walgreens has a "take care clinic" that only cost 69 dollars plus lab fees and meds so you can get checked out...you really need to be seen I am going through the same thing... If it is a uti you will need antibiotics to clear it up...Ciproflaxin will clear it up in about 3 days...Stay away from choclate caffine of any kind drink lots of water and cranberry juice....Good luck to you!!! 1 866-takecare.... call the number and find a location close to you...I know what you are going through I don't have medical coverage either....So just give them a call. get yourself checked out
