Hi, Im a 22 yr old male and I recently shaved or rather trimmed my pubic hair for the first time. I did it late at night and then the next day, I didn't shower due to being late for work. Well the next day I woke up itching extremely bad in my pubic area. Then my scalp started itching as well. Now my entire body is itching like mad and im developing few bumps. Ive got one big bump per butt cheek near leg that almost feel like boils but aren't and then also itching on my elbows and armpits. Well as I was trying to fall asleep, I woke up to a tingling in my right foot and puffy itchiness at the base of my fingers. what is going on????

I did a little research into pubic shaving just now and it said "First time shavers are most likely to itch". Well it also said something about it being in the pubic area. Not once did it mention it spreading throughout body. I also came across "Scabies" but from the pictures, my bumps aren't bunched up. They are spaced apart but the relentless itching is there. Im very concerned and I dont have insurance so im wondering does any of this sound emergency worthy? and also any advice as to what is happening is much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks!-----------------------------------------------------Did you happen to use someone else's razor? Do you live w/anyone who left their razor in the shower & then you decided to use it? Razors can cause a host of problems, when used by more than one person. Sounds like you need to see someone to take a look for you & give you something to calm it down. Meantime, you can try going to a drug store & getting yourself some Aveeno bath soak & give yourself a good soak in it for 15 minutes. Then again, it shouldn't be spreading all over your body like it is, either. Just where the razor was. Unless, somehow, in the shower your hands transferred it to different areas you were washing after you shaved. Obviously the soap did not kill the bacteria, or whatever it is. Definitely make an app't to see someone & do what you can to try to calm it down. Cortizone cream may help too. Good Luck!
