My mom has low thyoid for years., Last year she had alot of problems with it and went into a mexidema coma. Well she recovered for the most part. In these past couple of months she has been getting sick and weak. Well according to my sister mom got diagnosed with cirrosis of ther liver. Tonight she went into full liver failure and possibly might die. When she had problems with her thyroid last year wouldn't the docs done a liver function test? Would they have seen the cirrosis then? As far I know they haven't even dis a biospy. Mom lives in florida I do not. She might die tonight. My mom also had a version of the weight loss surgery in 1976 but they did a intestinal bypass surgery. The doctor told my sister that might be the problem now why her liver is failing. Its been 33 yrs since that surgery, wouldn't something happened by now? And if u haven't guessed, the docs do not seem o know what is causing the failure. My sister told me the reason the doctors haven't did a biopsy is because they are afraid of her bleeding out if they did. I just do not know anymore. Please someone help me with this.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
