about 2 years ago my sister was tested for lupus because several things were happening to her body. It came back negative and we left it alone. she had other blood work done but i don't know what other tests were for, and everything came back ok. but i have just recently learned about myxedema in classes i am taking and the more i read about it the more it sounds like what is going on with my sister. i don't really know too much about it and i was wondering if any of her problems are associated with hypothyroidism. she is 17 years old, she is overweight and no matter how good she eats, she remains to be heavy. she had lost a good amount of hair within these past 2 years, it seems to have stopped, but it is very thin. she has been complaining of her leg muscles hurting alot, and her face is very puffy. she is very smart though and doesnt have any of the mental symptoms. also the skin on her face isnt course but it is rough, but not on the rest of her body. she also is lacking energy and is very tired all the time. does this sound like myxedema? maybe i am crazy but i am so concerend. IS it possible to have just the physical aspects and not the mental? please emial if anyone has any information or opinions i would greatly appreciate it email@example.comReply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
