I was Dx in 05 Hypothyroid and never been able to keep levels consistant. A year ago I had surgery for carpel tunnel and since then have never been the same.I am looseing the use of my hands and arms, at times they are to heavy to use, ache and burn constiantly, and have even locked up. I get rashes and skin discoloration. I have always been a little forgetful or spacy however this has also gotten much worse. They have explained the 70 pound wieght gain to steroids. I recently was Dx with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). My doctors are not in agreeance with this one reason being my white blood cell count has continued to gradually increase the past year. I have had MRI's, bone scans, xrays, unrinalysis, and complete blood tests, all of them normal other than my TSH levels were 438.44 -in dec) are with in normal range. They increased my thyroid meds to 175mg, with a few weeks I developed a scratchy-phlem sounding cough which produces nothing. I have been on two full doses of antibiotics even though I do not feel like I have an infection and still my WBC continue to go up. Can a defective Thyroid cause increase my WBC count?
Would CRPS be the cause of Hypothyroid? Can all three be related? What should I suggest to my doctoor to test?
