My wife was diagnosed with Hashimoto's diesase in 2006. Our relationship has gotten worse ever since her diagnosis. Her mood changed, she became very irritable all the time. The smallest argument became a huge problem. About a year ago, she left me and asked for a divorce. I know I wasnt always the best husband, but her actions and mood changed over this time and were very difficult to deal with. I believe this disease contributed to her irrational behavior and emotional struggles. If your spouse is hypo or has hashi disease and you are seeing changes in them , i urge you to speak to a qualified endocronologist to get the proper medicine. I regret that I didnt get my wife the help she needed sooner.

  • I had the exact same problem, my partner for many years started behaving really irrationally. Every little fight was made out to be something massive, would never apologise, always start yelling over the littlest of things.Everything was my fault and when I spoke to her about her mood's she was either really angry over it pretending like the fight never happened, or admits she had a problem. She would just start yelling and saying that, I had said something in a way which I hadn't or accuse me of cheating when I only just went to a mates house. I had to walk on eggshells and constantly calm her down.It was like she went through stages and still does. I was a great boyfriend to her and did everything I could just to try and please her because she was always angry at me. But everything was made out to be my fault I was her punching bag.She has the disease and eats around about two to three meals a day, a huge bowl of cereal, chocolate or chicken breast on the rare occasion. She exercises two times a day and I believe when she eats bad or is over-exercising is when she loses control. It has been a year and a half and she has been used and can't find a boyfriend. She has no friends because they all end up fighting with her.I wish I could have done something sooner.
