During a routine exam recently, an ultrasound shows that I have a thyroid nodule and blood work shows low TSH and normal T3,T4. My doctor suggested me to do a fine needle biopsy. The result was not cancerous. However, couple days after the biopsy, the side of my neck hurts and I started to get a fever. (Usually starting from the afternoon, goes up in the evening and goes down in the morning.) It has been so in the past three days; the last two evenings, I took some Advil to keep the fever down. I checked with my family doctor and he suggested it might be inflammation and ask me to take Advil when my fever goes up.
