Hi, I'm new here and looking for your opinion.
I'm female, slim, 46 years young ;-)
I have a prolactinoma, which is threatened with Dostinex and it's so far o.k., without causing some problems.
During the last few years I have this symptoms: fatigue, lack of energy, muscle pains, panic attacks, neck and shoulder pains, sometimes mild depressions, craving for sugar and carbs, sleep problems, hair loss, dry skin. I'm always tired and exhausted, although I don't have to do hard work, just kids and householding and here and then I work as a free lancer journalist.
My endocrinologist said to me I have a latent thyroid subfunction, but I don't need hormons yet. Another doc said to me, I have probably Hashimoto, because my thyroid is very small and I have all those symptoms. I do have antibodies, but they fit into the norm. So I don't know who is right and what should I do. Sometimes I'm really desperate, because I can't enjoy my life as I want- I can't do any sports, because I'm too exhausted after it and my muscle are painfull, I don't have energy for going out in the evening, for visiting friends, or for fooling around with the kids. Many times I feel like an old worn out woman :-(
I don't have any other explanations for my problems. My iron levels are a little bit too low, but not much, I have checked my adrenal glands, so I don't have another idea.
Could Hashimoto cause such symptoms, when at an early stage, when the thyroid don't show the signs of the disease yet ( except my very small thyroid? ) What would you think?
Here are my last blood results. TSH is sometimes around 3, sometimes around 2, the fT3 hormon was last time too low, but now seems to be o.k.
TSH: 2,09 ( 0,30-4 )
Ft3 2,51 ( 1,71-3,71)
Ft4 0,95 ( 0,70- 1,48)
Ferritin 47 ( 10- 120)
Thyroid 6.8 ml small, but normal, no signs of Hashimoto, said the Doc.
Thank you very much!
