I have Ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament(OPLL) in the c2 thru c4 region of my neck. I had Laminoplasty surgery in 12/06 because the opll was causing severe stenosis with spinal cord compression. In 12/07 I had an MRI and learned that the OPLL is growing and already have moderate stenosis in the c2-c4 region. I am having another mri at the end of this month to look at my neck again, and then in mid April I am seeing the Neurosurgeon who did my surgery and a Othopedic Surgeon also to get there opinions. I am wanting to hear from anyone that has experienced OPLL and find out if they had to have surgery, and possibly more than once for this problem.

PamMy father had the surgery in Vancouver BC Canada and it was successful, however, he has heart problems and later passed away due to cardiac arrest undergoing an unrelated surgery. The neurosurgeons there were amazing.
