I have quite bad sleep paralysis, i have a few episodes a week, sfter i have woken myself up out of the attack i'm really drowsy and find it very hard to stay awake and end up fallen back into another attack, the only way i can stop it is to get up and go downstairs for a while.

Recently though i have woken up a few times struggling for breath, it feels as though my throat has closed or i've swallowed something and i'm choking on it, my heart races and it's really scary:(

I'm a female 26, i have chronic fatigue syndrome, i'm not sure whether this is all down to the cfs. It's all very frightening:(

Any ideas:confused:

  • Hello,Have you had a sleep study?Have you been checked for sleep apnea? Had chronic tonsil problems?Find an alternative health professional to screen you for thyroid disorders.A full panel should be done, not just TSH and/or T4. If tests are normal, you could still have problems, as the lab normal ranges are for disease states. Thyroid disorders can be related to chronic fatigue symptoms.Let me know if I can relay more info. to you, or you can look at my comments under "thyroid" threads.Good luck!
