I an 26 and have had a strange sleepign problem at least for 6 to 7 years. I looked ont he internet and books to see what my symptoms are and the only thing that seems to slighlty fit. However, I am in doubt because it fits under night terrors and usaually it is related to small children not grown adults.

My problem is I expereince soemthing what I can only call an axiety attack in my sleep. Usually I cannot remmeber what I dreamt of excpet I know it is soethign that causes stress. I know when I do remmeebr the dreams it is sualoly soemthling stupid, Teh dreams do not consit of anything what most people would consider scary. I do not see monsters or fears of syign to death. When I wake I am covered in sweat frosm chills. My body is sually aching any the muscles are tense. Soemtimes my heart is going fast. This can happen over and over again in one night. I may have one 4 to 6 times a night just each one hours apart. any ideas before i go to the doctor and shell out so much oney for a sleep study when I could be wrong
