This is my first post here and I am hoping someone knows what is going on with my son's hands.
Here is a picture
About 2 weeks ago, this happened overnight to both of his hands. They are turning brown!
He went to the doctor, who didn't know what it was, but gave him a steroidal cream. It isn't working.
He says they are not painful at all, just turning brown from his knuckles to about halfway down his hand.
He says the skin is not dry, it is totally normal, just discoloured. It also hasn't changed in the 2 weeks, it is the same shade, same shape, same colour.
Does anyone know what this could be? He doesn't handle cleaners often, so don't think it could be a reaction to that. His work involved maintaining public computers in an educational setting, so I am thinking there are lots of germs!
He is in his mid-20's, if age should make a difference.
