I am getting so upset and frustrated. I do have health issues. Epilepsy, Psoriasis, Borderline Diabetic (taking Metformin) and while I do have psoriasis for the past 6 years, recently VERY recently I am noticing these round (circular) indents popping up here and there. They rainge from about the size of a pencil tip to a pea. It looks like the first layer of skin is gone. It's indented and not going away. In fact it seems as though I notice a few more every day. My main Dermatologist is on maternity leave so I have been seeing another one for a nodule that popped up and was removed. The nodule came back as POSSIBLE churg-strauss systemic vasculitis with an underlying cause of Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis...so off he sent me to a Rheumo who did xrays and bloodwork and negative. Anyway, so this dermatologist has NO idea what it is (these indents) I am about to lose my mind and cry. It seems I spot more and more everyday :( What is going on? Here are some pics. I took one on my forearm, one on my leg and one on my finger for example. I hope it shows up ok in the pictures.

  • If your derma cannot diagnose what is it then go to the expert...search for the best dermatologist in your place and dont settle for the cheapest...go for the best, you are worth that much i guess, ayt?:)

My main Derm is on maternity leave...so I was seeing a different Derm who has no idea what's going on. He is the one that sent me to the Rheumy. He called just now to get the results of the bloodwork and xrays that the Rheumy did - and He suggested I go to John Hopkins University/Dermatology - in the meantime I made another appt tomorrow with ANOTHER derm locally. I have to make the John Hopkins appt. Have no idea what Derm to see there...there are 45 of them! I am checking reviews but it's a hit or miss I guess.Forgot the pic of arm. http://tinypic.com/r/2enuqop/6

  • Btw, did you ever figure out what this was?? I have these same indents on my skin and just went to the derm and didn't get an answer. Thanks for any info you can provide.

  • The Indents look like what I have, also. I did research on them and found them as "diabetes mellitus" or "Diabetic Dermopathy". (I am, also, borderline diabetic and have autoimmune diseases.) I showed it to my doctor and she confirmed the spots. After my spots indent, they often turn brown. Just info.

  • Hell0! Did you find any information about your problem? I have the same symptoms! First 3 appeared on my stomach, one on the side of my cheek, and a big one on my back..
