My husband and I have the same problem. His is a little worse than mine. We went to the doctor today and she said that it was fleas or scabbies. I don't know because I have had flea bites before and this never happened. Also we haven't had any problems with fleas this year. First time for that.
We have sores that just appear on our skin. Areas of the face, arms, legs, and on my husbands back. They do not itch. They do not have any oozing. They do not bleed. They are no bigger than about the size of an ulcer you would get in your mouth. Actually my husband compares the two.
It kinda looks like a burn, the center (which is the sore) starts out to be your skin color but looks like the top layer of skin is gone and outside the sore is slightly red all the way around it. The red goes away and the sore gets darker and darker until a scab formes and comes off. They aren't all in one big bunch but kinda spread out with spaces between it. Some I haven't even noticed they were there until they were dark and scabbing up.
On me they seem be be only where my skin is exposed. My husbands back seemed to break out worse when he sweats.
I bought anti-bacterial soap and got Lantiseptic cream. It seemed to help the sores but they still come back. The doctor gave us permethrin cream for flea bites. I just have a hard time believing this is what it is.
Any help would greatly be appriciated.
