I got my blood work back. The biopsy said it is hives.....which can be an allergy to something even to a medication....or it can be from a systemic infection

....I don't have kidney issues or hep b or c. I do have a chronic illness though....that is not life threatening so it may be a flare up.

My liver function test is a bit askew....and that could also be causing the hives....I am seeing an immunologist in two weeks and my PCP soon as I can get an appt.

But the biggest thing I learned was that a biopsy done on my cheek for a "freckle" I have had for years came back as melanoma......

It is supposedly superficial. I have to go and get surgery.....they take off one layer of cells at a time until they have clear margins.....

The thing is that a year and a few months ago I went specifically for a skin cancer check and the MD looked at that thing on my cheek and said...."Naaah......don't need to bother biopsying it".......so maybe if she had....I would have had a melanoma that would have been even more superficial.....if something showed up then. But I just trusted her and felt relief when she said "Ahhh....it's nothing to be concerned about."

So I am still itchy.....with no specific answer for the hives.....but I am going to find out why my liver results are askew.

Meanwhile I have some advice. I would advise anyone to get skin checks regularly and if there is a freckle that looks different or a mole ......insist that they biopsy it.........
