Hey, I just recently noticed there's a small reddish lesion on my chest, and it worries me because i've heard its a sign of HIV/AIDS. But its hard to know what it is, since I shave my chest, and sometimes small red bumps appear on my chest (razor burn lol) but this one looks kinda different..its unraised, and very small..but i was just wondering if i should be worried or not? Thanks.

  • Sounds like MCV, which is spread by shaving. Stop shaving and see if any more pop up. Check out the board for Molluscum Contagiosum Virus-- it's a very active board and extremely specific about symptoms and treatments. Good luck. In either case-- get yourself to a reputable dermatologist ASAP-- if it IS MCV, it's highly contagious and could take months/years to get rid of, especially if you let it multiply. Nip it in the bud now with aggressive treatment and you'll save yourself a lot of money and stress.
