Hi, so i noticed a while ago that i had tiny dark red dots (about a milimetre big maybe, if that) on my upper arms, i didn't think anything of it cause they have been there for ages and they're not itchy or anything.

the thing is i'm not positive, but i think theres more than there were before so i googled it a few days ago and think its petechiae (sp?).

i asked my mum about it (she's was a nurse) and she said not to worry about it but i still want to know why they're there

Let me know if you figure anything out.

  • Sounds like cherry hemangiomas. They're usually harmless, but they do get a bit bigger and more and more show up the older you get. I have had these since I was a girl, too and when many more started showing up a few years ago, I saw a dermatologist. Nothing to worry about. There's lots of pictures on the net of them if you want to compare.
