I'm curious to see if there is a name for this condition or phenomenon. I'm not worried, but if it did turn out to indicate something important, i wouldn't mind knowing that. I've done a lot of searching online, and on the site but i can't find anything other than a few anecdotes and comments that describe this exact thing.

Often, I'll scratch myself, or be trying to pop a pimple and I'll feel a tingling or piercing sensation at some other random place on my body. This has happened all my life but it has never really bothered me, so i haven't exactly mapped out where the connections are. It doesn't happen constantly, only at specific locations at the time I notice it. It may still be there later, but it happens at such small specific locations I can't really find them again. The sensation is directly correlated to the pressure i put on the location i find. I find a spot on say my lower leg, i scratch it, and i feel a piercing sensation on my middle left back. I scratch harder, it pierces harder, i stop, it stops.

I haven't tried to find out if there is a reverse connection, like if scratching my left leg causes my right neck to feel piercing, if scratching that spot on my neck produce a piercing sensation on my left leg, but i plan to keep on the look out and check later.

Sorry to place this in the middle of a forum full of a whole lot of obviously more serious and urgent questions, but I've been looking for like 6 hours today, and don't even have a good name for this.

I have no information for you, but I've experienced this oddly random sensation, too. You're not imagining it, FWIW. K
