I am a cashier and I have to stand on my feet for eight hours. Usually at work I will get start itching on my back, top of my legs, back of my neck, and my forearms and wrists. Its usually a quick itch that goes and comes back during the day, and I've never been persistently bothered with it. However, today its just been ITCHING LIKE CRAZY! I am literally being driven to the point of madness where the itching will not stop, and its always moving. Ive been trying not to scratch, but it drives me mad and on my legs and back, if I don't itch start twitching or it starts to get painful! I've tried not thinking about it, but when you itch ITS HARD!!! I've tried taking my attention away from it, but that's not worked. I've never had it so bad, and I've not done anything out of the ordinary. My soaps, washing powder are ll the same, not used any lotion, skins not dry, there is no rash except for the eczema on my elbows but that not even itching, its the one spot that isn't. I haven't taken any medication, the only thing I am on is microgynon 30 and I have been off it for 3 days as part of the 7 day break. Only thing is, I haven't had itching like this before. Im hoping its only temporary but I am scratching myself to shreds here!!!!

  • I have no solution for you or advice but I can say that I understand where you are coming from... Same thing is happening to me!Do you have raised welts after scratching?? I have no rash of which to speak at the beginning... just sudden intense itching which then leads to raised bumps where I have been tearing myself to shreds.Have you ever had anything like this before? I can vaguely remember it happening years ago and here and there on and off. Mainly in winter time, its winter here in Melbourne Australia.Mine seems to be confined to my back, breasts, under my bra & occasionally lower back, sometimes even my scalp. Mainly where the skin is warmer. Thinking a trip to the doc might be a good idea, especially when you read about liver disease and hodgekins lymphoma etc..If I find anything out i'll get back to you :)
