in the summer time, i went to Rome to study abroad. and over there, i got some very itchy bumps that wouldn't go away. i thought it might be bed bugs or whatnot. the school sprayed the apartment, beddings, our clothes, everything. but the bumps on me never went away. however, it did get better for my roommates (we had seperate rooms). a month later, i returned home where it wasn't as hot. the bumps were still there, but it didn't get worse. a month later, i decided to try tea tree oil, but a week after using it, it spread all over my arm. i got some cream which made it go away, but still had itchy bumps on my legs and forearm and my ears and fingers got crusty with puss. i also got a deep cut on my finger that wouldn't heal for months. i got prescribed prednisone, but it didn't do much. 3 months later, the condition started to get really bad, making my skin very sensitive. i thought it was eczema so tried zinc cream, but that made it extremely worse and spread to my sides and thighs and lower back. the bumps became big blisters and there was puss. i started bandaging them, but i did it everyday for two weeks, and that caused some bandaid scars on my skin. finally, i got tested for MRSA, and the results came out to be positive. i got meds for it, but it wouldn't go away until i asked my bf to get treated for it too. (he wasn't showing symptons, but we were sharing the same bed). that took about a month, and most of the problem areas caused by MRSA went away (itchy ears and fingers with puss, bumps, etc.). after the treatment from MRSA, i still had some areas that had a thin line of red bumps. the doc thought it might be scabies and gave me permethrin. after two weeks of that, it went away and most of the bumps turned into scars. but about two weeks after the scabies treatment, i started getting bumps again. most of the bumps are showing up around the scarred areas (which would be my side lines, my arms and legs and thighs). i am also getting some colorless bumps around my elbows, and some cluttered bumps on my stomach and waistline and forearm, and they are all very itchy. i can feel them itch. i thought it might be scabies again, so i just went in and got more cream. but i've been having very close contact with my bf, and he has never showed any symptons whatsoever. i also have eczema, but i have little pimple bumps in twos and threes and i am convinced it might be bug bites though my bf thinks it's just eczema. some of the red bumps also had a black dot in the center but the black dot went away after a day or two. i have recently washed all my bedding, towels, and am changing my night and day clothes after each use. i keep myself well covered with socks and long sleeves. but this problem doesn't seem to be dying down and keeps coming back. i've been to many different doctors, and they keep thinking it might be an allergic reaction. the most recent doctor i visited think it might be scabies, but these tiny bumps around my waistline only started showing up recently. i'm convinced i may have gotten scabies recently and the blisters i had before were MRSA. but i can't figure out where i got scabies from, since i've only had close contact with my bf, who never has anything. well, he did say he had two bumps on the insides of his arm for a week, but he washed it off with chlorhexadine and it went away. i'm getting doctor's treatment, but these are very stubborn bumps. i'm hoping if anyone has any other ideas on what this might be?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
