Small Red Bumps Spreading Over Body

I'm 18 years old, in southern Texas right now. I started noticing small red bumps on my left thigh after spending the night at my friends. The day before the bumps appeared my friend and I went to the beach during the day for a couple hours then later that night we had a few drinks at my friend's friend's house. Once we were done, we were safely relocated to my friends house to sleep. The next day around noon the bumps appeared. I did not pay much attention to it until they spread across my left thigh, as well as the bottom back of my left calf with a few on my right thigh. I woke up the next day with the red bumps on my left foot and right calf. Later in the day they spread to my arms but are bigger and very noticeable on my legs and foot. Today I have more on my calves and some on my left big toe and under my belly button, then as the day went by on my hands, fingers, neck, and back. My boyfriend and I are freaked, but my mother doesn't want to take me to the doctor because of money. The bumps do not hurt or burn and seldom itch (usually only when I think about them do they itch). I have not been sleeping well, very restless. Been having neck and back pain and hungry all the time but do not want to eat. I've been stressed because of college crap, money and family issues, and my boyfriend is moving to another state. Not sure if those things are related, but figured I would mention them just in case. Please help!

sorry for the length

  • Sounds like chiggers, their bites show up gradually over 24-48 hours after the bite. Take a hot shower to make sure they arent still on you, don't scratch bumps and apply hydrcortizone or calymine lotion and they will clear up in 3-7 days.
