Small lumps on hand fill with puss

About twice a year I get a small lump/lumps (between 1 and 3 at a time) under my skin always on my left hand on or around my little finger. Over a couple of days gets really sore and inflamed and fills with puss and then it seems to dry up of its own accord and shrinks back to a little dot. I am sure this is not just a normal spot as it always returns in the same place. Doctor said it was a fungal infection and I have some cream to reduce it but it has been re-occuring like this for about 4 years, it is usually gone by the time I can get a Doctors appointment. Any ideas?

  • I used to get little lumps between my fingers and on the bottom of my feet that looked like they were filled with water or something. I never did anything to them they would just go away. WebMD said that what I thought I had could have been a form of athletes foot. Not sure though because I never got it diagnosed by a doctor. I haven't had any bumps in about 2 yrs.
