a few months ago i woke up during a couple of nights with terrible itching on the inside of my wrists, knees elbows and ankles, and once inside of my thighs. when i turned the light on i had swollen patches around these joints where i had been scratching. they were raised and a whitish color with an outline of red. it was so unbearable that it lasted hours until i fell asleep. but the strange thing is when i woke up, there was no sign of itching or rashes or any sort of discomfort that i was experiencing. i backtracked what i ate and what i put on my skin and nothing had changed. also, i share a bedroom with my twin sister and she said shes never had it happen before. well, this weekend i went away and stayed in a hotel. i woke up in the middle of each night with the same thing only more painful and more of these patches up and down my arms, my legs and my lower back. i also shared the bed with my boyfriend and he was fine the whole weekend. he actually woke me up to tell me to stop itching. when i came home, i still had it but it was only on my ankles and knees. i dont understand why it happens and i cant figure out what its from. if anyone has any information, please let me know.
