Hello all - my dermotologist diagnosed me with roseacea last week and put me on oral and topical antibiotics. My symptoms included peeling, itchy and burning red skin on my face. Since I've seen the dr, my eyelids have become puffy and the skin under my eyes very wrinkled (more than for a 33 year old!). It looks like I'm very tired, and I've aged 20 years in two weeks.
The antibiotics seem to be working, but at a very slow pace. My eyes, however, have been worse - watery, burning. My eyes constantly feel like I just woke up, I have to blink several times to get clear vision. I haven't worn my contacts all week.
These symptoms seem to coincide with what I've read on roseacea. BUT my legs look like a battlezone as I've been scratching like mad. Like one huge mosquito bite on my legs and the scratching makes it itch more. It's maddening! While it's still 80 degrees where I live, no shorts/skirts for me. Yuck.
Has anyone else seen itchy skin on the legs associated with roseacea? I have yet to find this symptom online with this diagnosis, and forgot to ask my dr.
