I'm a 19 year old female and about 2 weeks ago I noticed 3 small scaly, flaking skin spots on my vaginal area. At first I didnt know what it was, it was just flaking skin, but then the spots started to change and get slightly bigger and now I'm positive that its ringworm because of the appearance of the spots.
the 3 spots are now in the shape of a ring just like you can see in the illistration on this site: http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/tc/ringworm-of-the-skin-symptoms
but now besides the 3 spots, I have 3 smaller spots on my upper thigh, and a huge spot of flaking skin on the right outer side of my vagina. as well as several smaller spots appearing on my other upper thigh. I'm afraid that it is spreading too much.
I bought antifungal cream yesterday. its clotrimazole cream that says it cures most jock itch....but from what ive read online it cures ringworm too. I've just started using it twice a day as the package says to.
My question is should I just continue using the cream for 2 weeks to see if it clears up or should I see a doctor because I have so many spots of red irritated skin??? thanks to anyone who can help!!
